Mike has thirty one years of economic development experience. He has worked at the Economic Development and Technical Assistance Center at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh, the Herkimer County Area Development Corporation and for the past twenty two years with the Mohawk Valley Economic Development District (MVEDD). In his capacity as Executive Director of the MVEDD, Mike has obtained over $35 million in federal grants that helped develop $97 million in public infrastructure projects though out the six county Mohawk Valley region. He also successfully packaged $53 million in loans to 200 companies.

Mike has been awarded the title of Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council and the Economic Development Finance Professional Certification by the National Development Council. In 1993, Mike was the recipient of the New York State Economic Development Council’s Robert T. Dormer Economic Developer of the Year Award. Mike is a past President of the New York State Economic Development Council, and currently serves as its Treasurer.

Mike graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
